How Design Can Innovate Your Brand

design is at the core of all we do

Design is more accessible than ever. Much of our modern life is the product of deliberate design; from the menu board we read when we order our morning lattes; to the packaging we open when we purchase a bento box for lunch; to the app we open to communicate with our friends; to the product that just arrived from the order we placed online. @@Design influences how we feel about organizations and their products and services.@@ For small to mid-size businesses, design can be the difference between being another cafe selling coffee, and the new local cultural focal point. For anyone wondering how hiring a design agency like Markon can help their business, we've put together a few examples.

design gives your brand identity

Your brand is many things and as brand advisors we will tell you that your brand goes far beyond the design we create to visually represent it. It's about character, values, and the experiences you create for your customers. All of that, however, is expressed, visually, through design. Haphazard, quick, cheap design can result in a logo. @@Deeply thought out, well-crafted, professional design can fashion an entire brand identity.@@ We recently wrapped up a branding project for Infinity Events, an agency in Las Vegas. See the brand style guide we created for them below.

design can takes your brand everywhere

Modern designers are concerned with much more than clean lines, color palettes and things of that nature. Today designers understand that their primary medium is digital and so often designers have a more well-rounded understanding of file types, platforms, scalability, etc. In today's world, where the majority of computer usage happens on mobile devices, @@designers are building everything from graphics to websites, for the size of a mobile screen first@@, and then scale larger to tablets and desktops. Because people increasingly discover content on social media first, designers are working there as well. At Markon we concern ourselves with the physical and digital world and our work can be found in both, often representing the same brand.

design is for everyone

At the start of this post we said that design is more accessible than ever. That's true. Design is also more important than ever. Design is what differentiates brands from each other in an increasingly competitive marketplace, with an even larger mass of consumers to choose the exact product they're looking for. Design is the important for the solopreneuer who just launched a food blog, and the two espresso-fueled coffee roasters who want to disrupt the coffee industry. At Markon, our clients rely on design for their identity, their marketing and to brand their assets. No design project is like the other. That's why we scale our solutions to our client's needs. We can scale a solution for your needs, too.
