Sign Company Launches New Website, Signals Transition to Design Agency

1/12/2015                                                                             Release: 2015-1 | Markon Brand Design

Vancouver, Wa (January 12, 2015) - - Markon Brand Design, a brand management and design agency in Vancouver, Washington, has launched a new, interactive website. The website is the largest in a series of steps the company has taken to evolve from its original inception as a local sign company to its current iteration as a branding and marketing leader in the area.

“When I bought Markon Signs & Decals in 2012, I knew I was getting into an extremely competitive industry,” said Kristine Neil, President of Markon Brand Design.
“Clients have more options than ever to buy, or even “design,” items online themselves. What we’ve found is, that for some people, that level of quality is sufficient. But, our clients kept asking for more. They didn’t want to have to DIY everything. They needed someone they could trust to help them, not just in printing their signs, but to manage their entire brand. That push from our clients is what has driven this evolution.”

In 2014, the firm left its mark on the Vancouver metropolitan area having designed, produced and installed branded environments for a number of local companies. These companies include restaurants, gyms, industrial firms, coffee shops and salons. It also marked a great year for expanding exposure beyond the immediate region, as opportunities arose to work with clients from Seattle to Eugene and even as far away as Hawaii.

“I believe that our history of quality sign making has helped set us apart from other marketing companies that have really talented designers but no knowledge of production. We design with business goals and efficient production in mind. This translates to better value and higher quality for our clients. Bringing together all of our resources and connections to manage all of a client’s marketing needs helps us take better care of our clients and continue to grow our business,” said Neil.

Markon hopes to continue on a growth trajectory. In 2014, the company added two new employees to be able to accommodate the increase in graphic design work. Goals for 2015 include continued efforts to reach new clients in the Portland metro area and beyond, emphasizing the agency’s strengths as a powerful brand management company and business leader.
